New York State Fair - Mohegan Sun Grandstand | 581 State Fair Blvd | Syracuse, NY 13209 (See Map)
Saturday 7:30pm
Detail:
Uncle Kracker, the idiosyncratic rapper-turned-country-singer who collaborated with Kid Rock on the biggest song of last summer, will join Kid Rock at the New York State Fair at the end of this summer.
Uncle Kracker, who co-wrote Kid Rock's No. 1 hit "All Summer Long," will open for his longtime friend during Kid Rock's Sept. 5 concert at the Fair's Mohegan Sun Grandstand.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are on sale now at the Fair Box Office and through Ticketmaster. They cost $50 and $45.
"Uncle Kracker will help make one of the most popular concerts of the summer an even bigger event," State Fair Director Dan O'Hara said. "We're giving the thousands of people who already bought tickets extra value for their money, and we're giving fans who haven't yet bought tickets another reason to come to the show."
Uncle Kracker is probably best known for his No. 1 hit "Drift Away," which topped the charts in 2002. A Detroit native, he began his music career rapping and as D.J. for Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band, and gradually moved into more mainstream country, rock and pop music. Other popular songs include "Follow Me," "In a Little While," Memphis Soul Song," and "Rescue."
